Product description
Atrauman dressings are single-use, sterile, non-medicated ointment dressings. These dressings are suitable for the treatment of superficial acute and chronic wounds of any type.
The fabric of this dressing is soft and adaptable to the wound site, thereby ensuring comfort and conformability in hard to dress areas.
This dressing is highly absorptive and has been developed to avoid irritation or sensitisation.
The non-adherent wound contact layer helps to prevent the secondary dressing, placed on top of the Atrauman dressing, from sticking to the wound bed and for keeping wound edges and surrounding skin supple, allowing for painless dressing changes.
Please note, this product is not waterproof.
Usage directions
Take the dressing out of the peel pack with both product covers in place. If needed, cut it with sterile scissors to the size of the wound. Remove of one of the product covers, place this side of the dressing onto the wound and remove the second cover. Place a sterile, absorbent dressing pad over the Atrauman dressing to absorb exudate. Apply a new Atrauman dressing at each dressing change (unless otherwise prescribed by your healthcare professional). The wear time of the dressing depends on the condition of the wound and the level of exudate.
Note: If there are therapeutic reasons for not changing the dressing, the ointment may be absorbed when left in place for a long period of time. Wound adhesion may occur and may be eliminated by placing a second Atrauman dressing over the first one.
